Flanks has announced a new partnership with Perplexity, bringing its regulated wealth data infrastructure directly into Perplexity’s AI workflows.
For wealth managers, private banks and Family Offices, the announcement is particularly relevant as AI tools move closer to the daily management of portfolios, reporting and client relationships.
Flanks is joining Perplexity’s curated connector ecosystem, becoming one of the first European wealth data providers to be integrated into the platform. Its connector is now live both in Perplexity’s answer engine and in Computer, its agent platform.
Bringing wealth data into Perplexity
Through the integration, users can query portfolio holdings, investment positions and transaction history using natural language, while working directly within Perplexity.
The connection gives financial professionals access to Flanks’ consolidated data across more than 700 financial institutions. It is designed to support existing wealth management workflows including client reporting, portfolio monitoring, client meeting preparation and ETF overlap analysis.
For Family Offices and Multi Family Offices managing assets across several banks and custodians, the ability to work from a consolidated view of the portfolio is particularly important. Fragmented data remains one of the practical challenges of managing increasingly complex wealth structures.
The data layer behind AI
Flanks’ approach is based on consolidating and enriching wealth data across asset classes, including alternatives, into what the company describes as a 360° source of truth.
The partnership with Perplexity extends that data layer into an AI environment, allowing wealth professionals to access and work with portfolio information through natural language rather than moving between multiple systems.
“Financial advisors are drowning in fragmented data,” said Joaquim de la Cruz, CEO and co-founder of Flanks. He describes the partnership as a way to connect AI to the wider advisory process rather than creating another standalone tool for a single task.
For Perplexity, the partnership adds institution-grade coverage of European banking and wealth data to its growing connector ecosystem.
A significant step for AI in wealth management
Flanks currently processes more than 8.2 million portfolios each month across 33 countries, representing more than €43 billion in assets. The company is regulated as an Account Information Service Provider by the Bank of Spain under European Central Bank supervision and holds SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 certifications.
The partnership marks another step in the integration of AI into professional wealth management, with the focus shifting from the AI model itself to the quality, accessibility and governance of the data it can work with.
For wealth managers and Family Offices, that distinction is key: the more complex the portfolio and the greater the number of banking relationships, the more important the underlying data infrastructure becomes.
