CNP Luxembourg: Ten Years of Steady Growth and a Strong European Ambition
Published:

Since receiving its license in 2015, CNP Luxembourg has established itself as a recognized player in the Luxembourg life insurance market, serving a European high-net-worth clientele. Backed by the strength of its parent group, the company has built a model based on close partnerships, an open investment architecture, and a constant commitment to financial engineering.

As it enters its second decade, Raphaël Torres, Sales Director, and Amandine Bournet, Partnership Manager, look back on the major milestones of this journey, the relationships built with partners, the factors driving CNP Luxembourg’s appeal in a rapidly changing market, and the strategic vision that will guide the coming years.

Ten years already—if you were to look back on CNP Luxembourg’s growth, what milestones have defined and shaped this journey?

Raphaël Torres
CNP Luxembourg received its license from the Insurance Commission on November 30, 2015, and began marketing its products in the summer of 2017.
CNP Luxembourg has gradually built and scaled its teams to enhance its visibility and provide tailored support to its broker, asset manager, and custodian partners.
In an open model, our primary objective has always been to highlight the advantages of a Luxembourg-based policy to a European clientele.

Amandine Bournet
Ten years after its founding, CNP Luxembourg has 44 employees dedicated to serving the needs of its partners and manages €7 billion in assets, with over 55% invested in unit-linked products.
CNP Luxembourg is thus adapting its investment universe to showcase its financial expertise and respond to the evolving needs of the market.
In pursuit of diversification, CNP Luxembourg has gradually expanded its distribution markets by offering its life insurance and capitalization contracts to tax residents of France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Italy.

CNP Luxembourg’s model is based on proximity, trust, and the creation of sustainable value with your partners. How has this relationship evolved over time, and what levers do you prioritize today to further enrich it?

Raphaël Torres
Attentive to the market, CNP Luxembourg has always prioritized human connections and collaborative development with its partners.
Through active listening and complete transparency, CNP Luxembourg strengthens long-term partnerships every day, delivering added value for policyholders.

Amandine Bournet
On a daily basis, we can count on our teams and their solid expertise; their diverse and complementary profiles allow us to work collectively to drive performance and support our partners.
Together with our partners, we are thus shaping a vision and a path based on three pillars: innovation, diversification, and trust.
We are continuously embarking on a shared journey to best meet the evolving needs of a high-end clientele.

In an increasingly competitive and globalized European market, what makes CNP Luxembourg unique and attractive today?

Raphaël Torres
In an evolving and competitive market, strength, expertise, and agility are the key drivers of real growth.
As a subsidiary of the CNP Assurances Group, we benefit from a strong credit rating, underpinned in particular by the Group’s financial strength.
Guided by the solid strategy of a major group, we have been offering stable commercial products for the past eight years, leveraging multi-channel distribution and addressing market needs.
The implementation of joint sales management among the French, Italian, and Luxembourg teams demonstrates active synergy and the strength of a major group—something today’s high-end clientele seeks in a market looking to streamline.

Amandine Bournet
Furthermore, we observe that growth in life insurance is driven by commercial offerings that optimize the investment universe.
In times of market volatility, the financial engineering of Luxembourg insurers supports the market’s appeal and positions the Luxembourg offering within the diversification strategy of high-net-worth clients.
Through its agility and expertise, CNP Luxembourg has successfully capitalized on the gradual alignment of its investment universe with the needs of policyholders interested in the Luxembourg solution.

Finally, as we enter this new decade, what strategic vision do you wish to pursue for CNP Luxembourg and your partners?

Raphaël Torres
CNP Luxembourg’s strategic vision is centered on three main pillars:

  1. its profitable business development,
  2. an enhanced customer experience
  3. and corporate social responsibility.

Through the sectoral and geographic diversification of its distribution markets, CNP Luxembourg will continue to meet the evolving needs of a mobile client base through tailored long-term wealth management strategies. By providing digital solutions, CNP Luxembourg aims to offer its partners and policyholders an increasingly seamless and intuitive customer experience, in line with the expectations of an increasingly connected world. Digitalization will not merely be a tool for efficiency: it will serve as the catalyst that enables us to further evolve our relationships through an additional and necessary gain in agility.

Amandine Bournet
Finally, embedding CSR at the heart of our strategy will allow CNP Luxembourg to affirm that performance is meaningful only if it is accompanied by sustainability.
Raising awareness among our employees and partners about responsible practices means anchoring our growth in a framework of respect and positive contribution.
Our ambition is clear: to become a solid, innovative, and responsible company, capable of transforming market shifts into genuine opportunities for sustainable growth.

Raphaël Torres
Through these three pillars, CNP Luxembourg will be able to continue its growth and become a key player in the Luxembourg market as well as the true European hub of the larger group to which the Company belongs.
As a further sign of this continued growth, CNP Luxembourg has had a new headquarters since September 1, 2025. Designed to foster interaction, these open-concept spaces have already become a true catalyst for communication and direct, effective engagement.
We look forward to inviting our local partners to an opening reception on January 28, 2026.
