Apollo Global Management is strengthening its European team with the addition of David Liebmann, who has been appointed Managing Director of the EMEA Global Wealth team. Based in London, he will be responsible for expanding the distribution of Apollo’s investment solutions to unit-linked life insurance providers across Europe.
David brings valuable expertise in structuring complex wealth management solutions for high-end markets. His career at leading institutions demonstrates a deep understanding of the challenges associated with wealth management, cross-border distribution, and partnership models.
Before joining Apollo, David held several executive positions at:
Utmost Group (formerly Lombard International Assurance), where he served as Deputy Sales Director for Europe, having previously led the French market for over six years.
Carmignac, where he served as Deputy Sales Director, overseeing distribution to private banks, insurance companies, family offices, and platforms in France and Monaco.
Rothschild & Co, where he developed partnerships with independent wealth management advisors through the Sélection R platform.
Banque Privée 1818 (Natixis Group), where he helped structure wealth management offerings for independent financial advisors in the Paris and Rhône-Alpes regions.
His arrival comes amid strong momentum in the unit-linked life insurance (ULI) market, particularly in France, Luxembourg, and Southern Europe, where tailored investment solutions are increasingly sought after by insurers, brokers, and banking partners.
