At Paris Wealth Day 2025, Hubfinance met with Benjamin Chemla, CEO & Co-Founder of Shares. An entrepreneur for some fifteen years, he personally faced the challenges of investing after selling one of his companies. It was upon realizing that the available technological solutions were “not really up to the task” that a conviction was born: to modernize the “backbone” of finance to offer a smoother, more intuitive, and more accessible experience.
Modernizing Access to Investing
Originally launched for the general public, Shares allows users to open a securities account starting at €1, invest in stocks, ETFs, or cryptocurrencies, and enjoy a reimagined investment experience.
Today, the platform also makes its technology available to wealth management advisors, convinced that human guidance remains essential for guiding investors, nearly a quarter of whom report feeling anxious about money.
A Next-Generation Infrastructure
For Benjamin, most financial technology systems are over twenty years old and no longer allow for innovation. With Shares, he aims to rebuild a comprehensive and high-performance infrastructure covering securities accounts (for individuals and legal entities), PEA, PER, and collective savings.
The goal: to streamline the investment journey and enable wealth management professionals to offer their clients solutions that are modern, transparent, and robust.
